With passion for LIFE
Background
Born in the Bronx to Korean immigrants. Raised in Orange County: climbing trees with my brother for ripe avocados, making wooden structures with my mother's good chef knife to shelter caterpillars, and creating makeshift slip and slide out of garbage bags and sprinklers.
So begins my Adult Life
Studied fine arts at a public university. Fell in love with oils, fine rice paper, graphite and ink. Found out I am an abstract expressionist with a penchant for writing elaborate stories.
Lived abroad in Tianjin, China to teach English and volunteer at the local orphanage for the physically and mentally challenged.
Decided I wanted to change the world and picked up a Masters of Public Health at an university out in the boonies. Loved my refugee and humanitarian relief courses and planned to pursue a life of raising orphans and building refugee camps.
Seasons passed
Life took a strange turn and I moved into the corporate world.
Worked in the Marketing department of a major mutual funds company and then grew professionally into the world of technology as a business analyst, portfolio analyst, project manager, and then a change consultant.
Moved into the non-government world as a communication and change adviser for major global projects impacting 100 countries. Expanding my NGO saga in Washington DC where I led a Global Workday implementation and launched to India and Africa to train staff who were rescuing people from slavery and human trafficking.
Now
2022
Learning how to press in and be more gracious and kind in my daily living.
What beauty will I encounter today?
